Description
Solar Photovoltaic Energy (Solar PV) is becoming one of the new emerging energy sources in the coming decades. In this new segment Materials Science will play an important role in order to reduce cost, improve efficiency and extend lifetime of the solar PV cells and PV modules. Within the DSM Innovation Center in close collaboration with business groups, a number of potentially interesting business opportunities for DSM in this Solar PV market have been identified. In this colloquium an outline will be given of the several business opportunities for DSM in this area. Solar PV fully fits in the 4 main business drivers of DSM:
Innovation, Sustainability, Partnering & acquisition, and that all in a global environment
