Damping down against dehydration
Description
The estates in the vicinity of Putten and Voorthuizen are home to the 4th wet heathland area of the Netherlands. Due to the reclamation and drainage of these former wild and swampy grounds, the unique wet natural values have seriously dried up. On behalf of the province of Gelderland, the Veluwe water board is responsible for drawing up a hydrological recovery plan for these areas. DHV prepared this hydrological recovery plan for the water board.
While working out the recovery plan, it turned out that on the flank of the Veluwe, nothing is what it seems. A world of contradictions and a road full of uncertainties in terms of content, process and culture and old wounds.
