Description
Waalsprong is the development of the municipality of Nijmegen on the other side of the river Waal. Until 2020, a new urban district will be built here for about 30,000 people. There will be about 12,000 houses, schools, shopping centres, offices, infrastructure including a new train and bus station and a large park. The project is being driven by a public-private partnership, the "GEM Waalsprong BV". Royal Haskoning is an advisor to the GEM.
Royal Haskoning works in integral teams including project managers, civil engineers, traffic engineers, urban planners, geotechnical engineers, architects, structural engineers, cost specialists, hydrologists and environmental experts.
Work includes the new city centre 'De Citadel', the Groot Oosterhout residential area, infrastructure and soil decontamination
