Firefighter training
The firefighter training was a great success last August. Therefore, we are going to repeat it this year. The topics are:
- the danger of lithium-ion batteries, including those from your mobile phone
- electric cars
- the use of fire blankets
- how to extinguish fires, where to stand and what extinguishing agent to use
When: Wednesday 23 August 2023 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m

What will we do:
Scenario 1:
Fire on the man + flame in the pan + gas fire with one injured person. The aim of the exercise is safety and appropriate action.
Scenario 2:
Search mission in a building filled with smoke. 2 persons go inside looking for letters, however this becomes difficult due to the smoke. Using walkie-talkies, they have to pass this on to the colleagues outside. These in turn have to make a map and put the letters in the right place. Purpose of the exercise, communication and orientation in a room filled with smoke.
Scenario 3:
Extinguishing a pallet fire with a tanker truck. Purpose of the exercise, awareness of the size of a fire and a look behind the scenes of the fire brigade.
Cost: € 15.00 for KIVI members and € 25.00 for non-members
