Sub-micron precision at 2,000 lids per minute and 3 metres per second! With 450 employees, Impress Deventer (formerly Thomassen & Drijver - Verblifa) is the largest production site of the now globally merged concern. Impress supplies steel packaging, including canning and paint cans, as well as Karvan Cevitam syrup bottles, Heineken party barrels and baby milk powder cans with tear-off lids.
Recently, a production line was installed for 1/2 litre cans in one piece with state-of-the-art process tracking systems. Development focuses on price reduction through raw material savings and expansion through innovative products. The thinnest "Easy Opening" lid has won multiple awards. Another innovation is the Karvan Cevitam syrup bottle, which moves away from the simple cylinder shape with base and lid.
After a presentation, the tour follows the complete process from the roll of metal through painting, stamping and welding to palletisation and automatic disposal to the warehouse
