Report KIVI Golf Day 18 August 2014

On 18 August, the KIVI Golf Day was held at the Hattem Golf & Country Club. It was organised by [working title] KIVI FUN FACTORY, supported by KIVI Region East. The activity was additionally passed on by Regions The Hague, Gelderland, North and South.

After first getting acquainted over coffee/tea and cake, 12 players teed off at 13.00 in four flights, with the low handicappers starting first. We will see later how important these founding players were. The 18 holes were completed in a great atmosphere and friendly rivalry. It stayed dry until the last hole, which is quite special for August 2014. The 4th flight received a small shower by way of farewell.

Arrived at the clubhouse, the first beers were handed out and the stableford points were calculated. There were two prizes: the incentive prize went to Ingrid Dijkstra, who had recently got her CFP and thus dived into the deep end. Winner was John Gielen!

After a benevolent and enjoyable dinner, the players dispersed, not after solemnly promising to attend again next year.

Description

With this first general KIVI Golf Day, we hope to start a new annual tradition for all golfers within KIVI. This first year will be played at the Hattemse Golf & Country Club, a friendly but also very challenging course that is among the oldest courses in the Netherlands. The competition is 18 holes stableford; maximum 50 participants.

We are very interested in new 'talkative' and/or 'talkative' participants. We therefore welcome it if you bring along a guest, for a fee of course. So get your golf gear out of the dust and sign up, together with your director, MT member, colleague, business partner and/or friend.

Provisional programme:
Before 12:00: Report to the tournament table + tee off for those who wish to do so
Before 13:00: Take your flight to the assigned starting green
At 13:00: Start of the match (Shotgun!)
Around 18:00: End of the match and start of the drinks and prize-giving ceremony
Around 19:00: Dinner in the clubhouse restaurant (if there is sufficient interest)
