Description
The topic of leadership continues to keep people busy. Different insights and ideas alternate. In particular, personal qualities and skills of leaders play an important role. One concept that fits in with this is the balance between direction and self-organisation. This concept is central to this overview on Leadership. Many effective leaders develop a style in which there is a good balance between setting frameworks, guidelines and instructions on the one hand and giving employees room for their own interpretation on the other.

Drs. G.A.M. Rood
Guus Rood studied social sciences at Nijmegen University, majoring in sociology of labour and business.
In 1971, he started working at the then NMB Bank. In 1990, he was appointed Head of Corporate Information at ING Bank Netherlands and held this position until his pre-pension in 2005.
He is a much sought-after speaker and/or chairman of the day at seminars and conferences in the Netherlands and abroad.
Based on these experiences, Guus Rood wrote the book 'Ladies and gentlemen, building blocks for a good presentation' and, in February 2001, the book 'Corporate communication and corporate culture'
