Description

Nanotechnology and nanoscience are terms that have been increasingly appearing in the media in recent years. But what does it all actually mean? What products, based on the minuscule world of nanometres (0.000000001 metres), are already commercially available? And what will the future bring?
On this afternoon, NanoLab Nijmegen will lift a corner of the veil and inform you about the (im)possibilities of nano technology. You will also be introduced to a very special class of measuring instruments, the Scanning Probe Microscopes, which allow materials to be viewed at the smallest possible level by probing them with a sharp needle
