Nijmegen embraces the Waal
Description
De Oversteek is the first project to be realised as part of Nijmegen embraces the Waal. This large-scale area development on both banks of the river Waal consists of the construction of De Oversteek, the relocation of the dyke at Lent, the development of a new city centre area in Nijmegen-North, the construction of the Waalfront residential and working area in Nijmegen-West and a facelift of the Waalkade. Together, these projects will ensure that the Waal will soon no longer flow alongside Nijmegen, but through Nijmegen
