Description

Will your next blunder kill your company?

Reputation management is thought to be mainly about "making men" in a company or giving a pimped image of a company.
In this lecture, the speaker will show that reputation management is not only about building an image of a company for the outside world, but also has hard economic and financial aspects behind it.

Not every risk is a reputation risk. Therefore, we will briefly consider when reputational damage really exists. These are not primarily operational risks but mainly risks that jeopardise the external valuation or even the company's continued existence.
It is therefore important to have a clear picture of what the outside world thinks of a company. The methodology applied for this purpose will be discussed.

Using a number of recent examples (e.g. BP and Toyota), it discusses how reputation crises can be analysed and prevented.
