Safety, the Human Factor
Description
Safety, the Human Factor
By now, most organisations are SCC certified and all employees have safety shoes and earplugs. But safety is more than that; behaviour, culture and organisation also play a role. Indeed, that is where it starts.
The workshop 'Safety, the Human Factor' provides insight into human behaviour and the role of the organisation and culture in the occurrence and prevention of accidents. Using some accident analysis models and learning moments from engineering, process industry and aviation, participants gain insight into the role of all layers in the organisation in improving safety. Not only on the shop floor, but also; what is the role of the director, department head, HRM, Purchasing etc? How do you steer for safety?
The workshop is interactive; participants will explicitly get the opportunity to contribute their own ideas and experiences and to learn from each other.
