The Future of Waste
Description
Circular and biobased economy and waste streams are not unfamiliar concepts to you. But where do you find new raw materials? And what are new applications for your waste streams? These topics and many more will be discussed during The Future of Waste. For example, entrepreneurs and experts will tell how their companies exploit new opportunities and you can make new contacts with companies that can use your waste streams or provide you with new raw materials. The new opportunities lie in the cross-overs between sectors, represented by organisers Circles, WUR, VNO-NCW Midden, IPKW and KIVI.
Workshops
You will have a choice of some 12 different workshops this day with a variety of topics centred on raw materials. Workshops you can expect:
- Getting started with residue streams;
- Green minerals from manure, sludge and organic waste;
- Alternative proteins for feed, food and biobased products;
- Circular Fashion;
- Materials from residue and waste streams;
- Landfills: the future suppliers of raw materials;
- Help build a raw materials knowledge centre;
- Stimulating low-carbon innovations;
- Recycle cars together.

Science Battle
You will get a combination of entertainment and science during the Science Battle, in which four inspiring scientists will compete against each other. Be surprised by their extraordinary research! All four will get ten minutes to convince you of the value of their research. You choose the winner!
