Will we have too little drinking water in the future?
A networking café entitled: Will we have too little drinking water in the future?
To prevent a shortage of drinking water by 2030, a package of measures needs to be taken quickly. This is urgent because some water companies already have too few reserves. That is the opinion of the RIVM.
Water must be held longer and larger water reserves must be created, for example by storing more water in dunes or basins. Alternative sources of water should also be developed, such as extracting drinking water from brackish or saline water and from sewage.
