
Circular pavilion The Green House + ALV
The Green House, a circular restaurant where chefs prepare the most delicious dishes from ingredients from their own urban farm and from the region. Where you enjoy food and drink all day long in a welcoming, comfortable environment. A green hub where you meet and organise events. Where you are inspired by stories and encounters about how things can be done differently and more sustainably. About a circular world in which waste does not exist.
The Green House restaurant is a catering pavilion on the Croeselaan in Utrecht that has been designed in a circular and fully remountable way, with a circular catering concept. In 15 years, the building will be relocated and the site will be given a new purpose. Rogier Joosten (The Green House, project developer) will give a presentation on this innovative approach, with the motto Right to Copy. He was the project's quartermaster and development manager on behalf of the initiators (See below).
A key carrier of circular design was the architect, Cepezed. She inspired Albron to make the whole development process truly different. Ronald Schleurholts, architect at Cepezed will provide the 2nd part of the lecture. The vision was: circular building is feasible and scalable. Within existing business cases, huge steps have already proved feasible. Leadership from everyone's role in the construction process was the success factor in this. The strategy, a combination of the strong eco-network, the right collaboration, and the good innovative circular business cases, led to this success. Integral, thinking from design, finance, build, operate and dismantle from common core values and in good transparent cooperation.

inspiration session, providing practical tools, for professionals in the building process (clients, developers, designers, operators, builders and suppliers) who want and/or need to make an impact on the fulfilment of sustainable ambitions, and are looking for methods to achieve this.
The Green House is an initiative of Strukton and Ballast Nedam as developer, building owner, energy supplier and maintenance party and Albron as hospitality concept developer and operator.
