Walk through medieval Amersfoort led by a Guild guide and New Year's reception at the Stadsbrouwerij

Walking through the historical centre of Amersfoort is always a special experience. For example, the Havik with its canal and arched bridges is a picture in all seasons, and on the Lieve Vrouwekerkhof you have a nice view of the beautiful OLV tower. The historic city centre is easy to walk around (600 x 400 metres) and has around 500 national and municipal monuments, as well as a very old synagogue.

The city walk takes you through the medieval heart of Amersfoort. The route includes a visit to the equally famous and unique wall houses. Another component is a visit to the Koppelpoort. Entering the Koppelpoort, viewing it inside and out, exploring it, experiencing it, even on top of it, is exclusively and exclusively possible with a guide from Gilde Amersfoort, as part of our city walk. Experience what a whirligig is by walking yourself in one of the treadmills used to raise and lower the water shot. And those who have walked in the treadmills will receive the Raddraaiers certificate! The walk ends at the City Brewery "De Drie Ringen", revealing the secrets of Amersfoort beer. The KIVI region Utrecht concludes its walk with a toast to the new year and over a nice beer the day comes to a close.

We use the brewery as the venue for the New Year's reception. That's something different.

We start at the OLV tower. The national zero point of the Netherlands cadastral. The tour always goes ahead, regardless of the weather or the number of participants.
