Pension system
Description
Retirement is something we don't really want to think about. Nevertheless, it is nice to know whether you will still have enough money in your old age to live comfortably.
With this in mind, the Utrecht region is organising a lecture on pensions on Wednesday 14 May, in which Annemieke Postema of Maan Financial Advice will smoothly discuss the pension possibilities in the Netherlands. During her talk, there will of course be room for questions and afterwards, Ms Postema will also be present to answer more personal questions.
The following topics will be covered:
- Building up old-age and surviving dependants' provisions in the Netherlands (government, employer and own provisions)
- Pension via employer: advantages of a collective pension, obligations of the employer, which systems exist and what are the advantages/disadvantages of these systems?
- How do you know what you have accrued and whether this will be sufficient?
- What can someone do to make up pension shortfalls?
- Current discussion on investment-based pension insurance (Tros Radar)
- Value transfer: how does this work and when is it wise?
- If time remains: various topics from the new Pension Act relevant to employees.
