Vocking liver sausage
Description
Vocking B.V. is a traditional family business dating back four generations. The company derives its right to exist from the founder H.N.A. Vocking, who established "Varkensslachterij H.N.A. Vocking" in 1891. Originally, this traditional butcher's shop was located in the middle of the old Utrecht city centre on Steenweg 29. Vocking liver sausage was H.N.A. Vocking's speciality. This authentic recipe has never changed and is therefore more than 125 years old. Although butcher's shop Vocking closed its doors in 1989, the sausage-making continued unabated behind the scenes.
Anno now, under the management of Paul Vocking (4th generation Vocking), Vocking BV produces its Vocking liver sausage, among other things, in an authentic manner. Other well-known Vocking products are the "Vocking" beefburgers, meatballs and various other sausages including farmhouse liver sausage, ox sausage and traditional butcher's liver sausage. The only thing that has actually changed is the production location: since 1995, the Utrecht sausage factory has moved to a modern production facility on De Liesbosch industrial estate in Nieuwegein. The company's slogan reads: "Vocking liver sausage, world-famous within the Utrecht provincial borders since 1891 and exclusively available nationwide! It's Vocking Delicious!"
