Description

Limburg is a province with a lot of natural beauty. This is evident from the fact that three of the 20 Dutch National Parks are located in our province! Having previously visited the National Parks "Groote Peel" and "Maasduinen", we will visit the National Park "De Meinweg" with this year's family walk. The area is located east of Roermond in the municipality of Roerdalen and covers an area of about 16 km². Besides having national park status since 1990, the area is also part of the German-Dutch Border Park Maas-Swalm-Nette.
Led by an expert guide from Staatsbosbeheer, we will take a walk through the national park "De Meinweg". The walk will take about two hours. We will explore the south-eastern corner of the park to learn more about this particularly versatile nature reserve.
After the walk, we will have lunch together (soup with sandwiches) at restaurant "De Turfskoelen", at the foot of the national park
