Description
With medical complaints, it often happens that the treating doctor wants to know more about the patient's inner workings. This can be done with imaging techniques.
The most commonly used are:
- Ultrasound
- X-ray
- MRI scan.
MMC Echt has advanced equipment in these 3 areas, which we will become acquainted with during this excursion. The physical principles on which imaging is based will be discussed. It will also be explained which equipment is most suitable for which investigations.
One of the important components of the MRI scanner is the superconducting magnet that provides the required field strength. Cooling the magnet is a profession in its own right, which will be explained in more detail.
