nature development Stadsweide Roermond
Description
On the opposite side of the Designer Outlet Center in Roermond, work will be carried out in the coming months to restore characteristic Maas nature. An area of 93ha will be laid out as a new nature reserve, with a 2400m long side channel permanently flowing with the Meuse as the most important element. This will further improve the water quality of the Meuse and locally create a natural stretch of the Meuse as it must have looked before the dams were built. After a brief explanation of the project inside, we will explore the area on foot and learn about the plans and what is involved in the implementation of such a large-scale project. We will also be able to see the work up close, as the contractor will be in full swing!
