The board of KIVI Region North-West has the pleasure of inviting you to an educational excursion to the Direct Current Experience Center, a platform where visitors can discover the potential of direct current technology to accelerate the energy transition.

While our existing grid transports electricity in alternating current (AC), most modern devices and applications such as mobile phones, lap tops, car chargers, as well as solar panel connectors use direct current (DC). The required AC/DC conversions cause power losses and increased costs.

To accelerate the energy transition, we need to use energy smarter. Schneider Electric's DC Systems therefore develops and implements smart DC microgrids for utility buildings, offices and commercial environments, while also exploring opportunities for DC applications in public spaces. In the Experience Centre, visitors can discover the benefits of hybrid AC/DC distribution through various DC applications, such as electric charging, office set-ups and industrial installations. They can also learn more about the company and its innovations, explore successful installations from around the world and get an impression of future developments.
