The lecture was held by ir Ben Viveen of Rijkswaterstaat and Drs Erik van der Kooij of management consultancy APPM at APPM's offices in Hoofddorp. The project, both motorways and public transport, has been under construction since the beginning of the 21st century. A final decision on the route and technical details will be taken soon. (flyovers, bridges etc.) The total cost is around 10 billion and will be completed by 2020.For the road route, the existing motorways, A10, A9.and A6 will be widened and public transport will consist of a Metro line across the IJmeer, with a number of islands. The Metro will use existing railways as much as possible. In the preparation process, efforts were made, and successfully, to ensure that the authorities did not get in each other's way (municipalities, provinces, Rijkswaterstaat, etc.) Also, good cooperation was established between Rijkswaterstaat and ProRail. The design was left, in competition, to market players, with the client setting the objectives. APPM's separate, atmospheric, natural office hosted 25 participants.

Description

There are long traffic jams on the Amsterdam-Almere motorway every day. With the growth of Almere, this is only increasing. Ir. B(Ben) Viveen of Rijkswaterstaat and Ir. E(Erik) van de Kooij of APPM have been involved in this problem for many years. They will give a lecture on the infrastructural accessibility of the Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere-Lelystad corridor. In the medium term, i.e. until
2020, there will be a road widening of the A1, A9 and A10.
Attention will also be paid to planning, estimates, technical issues, public transport across the IJmeer and Rijkswaterstaat's new market approach (early involvement).
