Designing intel. lighting sys.
The lecture by Prof.dr.ir.J.H.(Berry) Eggen looked at developments that make it possible to design lighting systems that are sensitive to human presence and adapt lighting accordingly. The word intelligence took on additional meaning during the afternoon n.e. the responsiveness of systems to human behaviour. Lighting (colour, image, sharpness) is not controlled by switches, but by e.g. sound, movements or fixed patterns. Lighting technology can also be used to influence/change people's behaviour. These developments cannot be developed by technicians alone. Doctors, psychologists and others are necessary here.
In the lively final discussion with participants, topics such as the terror of e-mail and converting moving actions into speech were also discussed. An instructive afternoon, in which 22 members participated.
Description
In this lecture, Prof Berry Eggen will discuss developments that make it possible to design lighting systems that are sensitive to the presence of people and adapt lighting accordingly. The focus will be on the desired behaviour of lighting systems. How should these systems behave so that people are indeed willing to label the system behaviour with the predicate 'intelligent'? Special attention will be paid to the interaction possibilities these systems should offer the user
