NSF director Willem-Karel Hackenitz gave a clear and engaging account of the origins of the oldest games factory in Europe. The glory days (including Barbie dolls and Electro) and the worse times, about five years ago. Currently, NSF is doing well again. The market is constantly changing. At least 30 new games have to be made every year, while the old games (Pim Pam Pet, Mens erger je niet, Monopoly and the like) that never went away are currently making a revival. NSF's turnover is about 40 mln, much of which is achieved in the last 6 weeks of the year. 80% of products consist of less than 10,000 copies. There is a reasonably high profit margin, but also high risk. (unsaleable, pre-financing etc.). The factory was running at top capacity, with many hired workers,
where what stood out strongly was the high commitment and motivation of the staff. The meeting was a topper. In the end, there were 33 participants
