North South Line excursion
Given the great interest in the construction of the North South Line, we organised an excursion to the construction site for the fourth time. Once again, the welcome was warm and it was noticeable that the builders had grown in enthusiasm. After the various setbacks, they are now extremely positive about the remaining construction activities. They are pleased that the Veerman Committee advised this completion.
After an introductory video, we were shown around the information centre and " The Cathedral" in two groups by two enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff members. The latter space in particular, which will be the hub for the existing Metro, the new Metro and the NS - Station, is already impressive. Prior to the tour, a lunch had been organised at the Smits Coffee House. From the feedback, it can be seen that this excursion was particularly appreciated. There were 50 participants.
