The Bergermeer Partner Group consisting of TAQA Energy B.V. and Energie Beheer Nederland B.V. is developing an underground gas storage facility near Alkmaar called Bergermeer Gas Storage. The purpose of the gas storage is to provide additional gas quickly during high natural gas demand. This gas storage will be the largest in Europe. The lecture was about this project. Ing Peter van der Sman introduced the project with background information on energy supply in Europe and the role of gas storage in it. He also gave a general explanation of the project. ing. Edwin Kramer specifically addressed the main technical aspects. Among other things, he discussed the construction of thick, insulated, high-pressure and wet gas pipelines. He will also explain the main technical aspects of the project and Ing Edwin Kramer will specifically discuss the construction of thick , hot, insulated, high-pressure, wet gas pipelines.
