At restaurant DE MOLENPLAS (on the Ringvaart canal in Haarlem), Mr Koen M van Hoeckel, general director of Habidrome Nederland B.V., gave an enthusiastic talk on FUTURE RESISTANT HOUSING. In it, he put forward the Habidrome vision: The market of over-55s is changing rapidly; many more older people with more income, assets , ICT experience, and other wishes. So conceptual building of future-proof, value-proof homes, based on an integrated vision of living and care is the future. There should be a living feeling focused on: spacious homes in good locations, with lasting comfort under all circumstances, integrated heating and cooling, spacious parking,beautifully designed, attention to meeting, tailor-made services, high quality in possible services, etc.

The presentation will be held by Koen M. van Hoeckel Mha, managing director of Habidrome Nederland B.V.
Habidrome focuses on "people aged 55-plus and younger" with a special housing philosophy. The quirky organisation takes consumer wishes (the new generation of over-55s) as its starting point and dictates those wishes in a detailed programme of requirements to project developers and housing associations. Not senior housing, but housing that is permanently good to live in

ROUTE DESCRIPTION
CAR:
Take the A9 to Haarlem, exit Haarlem Zuid. Turn left at the first traffic lights (Amerikaweg). At the end, turn right and then immediately left. At the third traffic lights, turn left(Groningenlaan). Follow the road (slight bend to the right). Just after the retirement home "Molenbrug"
turn left(small road through residential area). Ignore the dead end sign and just keep going straight ahead(Waertmolenpad). Parking is available here.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
From Haarlem train station, take bus 75 towards Haarlem-Schalkwijk. Get off at the Baronie stop. From here it is a 5-minute walk to the Molenplas. Walk past the "Landschof" apartment building and turn left into the "Pad van Walcheren", which becomes the "Poelmolenpad". At the end is the restaurant "De Molenplas"
