The Mission of the Naval Maintenance Company is: The Naval Maintenance Company ensures the material availability of the defence materiel desired by its customers during the life-cycle, at minimum cost, with due observance of quality care and working conditions and environmental requirements.
In relation to this, Mr R.A.ten Hove showed us around Dock IV, Ship lift complex and various workshops. We were struck that the frigate De Zeven Provinciën was precisely in Dock IV and this was an impressive sight. Mr A.J.J.Elling showed us around Kaiser, Meet & Calibration Centre.The reception was warm and started with an Indian meal in the Dinnerroom of Dock IV .The excursion ended with a DVD presentation of The Naval Company. Despite some cancellations, the turnout was large with 33 participants
Description
The KIVI NIRIA Region Noord-Holland is organising an excursion to the Naval Company, Rijkszee- en Marinehaven 1, 1781 ZZ, Den Helder, on Wednesday 17 March 2010.
The excursion will start with a Luxury Indian meal in the Dinnerroom of Dok VI.
The Naval Company
The Mission of the Naval Company is: The Naval Company ensures the material availability ( including (re)supply) of the defence materiel desired with its customers during the life-cycle, at minimum cost and with due observance of quality assurance, health and safety and environmental requirements.
In relation to this, after an Introduction by Mr A.J.J. Elling, Dok VI, Ship Lift Complex and various Workshops will be visited. Elling will show us around these. We will then be shown around Kaiser, Measurement & Calibration Centre by Mr R.A. ten Hove.
11.50 a.m., Sign in at the Marine Security Corps (MBK)
12.00 p.m., Reception with a drink and Luxury Indian meal in the Dinner Room of Dok VI
1.10 p.m., Introduction by A.J.J.Elling in the Reception Room of Phoenix
13.30 hrs, Tour of Dok VI, Ship Lift Complex and various Workshops by Mr A.J.J. Elling
14.55 hrs, Tour of Kaiser, Measurement & Calibration Centre by Mr R.A. ten Hove
