The Port of Rotterdam
The presentation was given by H.J.Frigge, Shipping Master b.d. , at the Cruquius Tea House near Haarlem. A lunch had been organised on site prior to it. After a brief historical overview, a special insight into the ins and outs of this port was given. Frigge worked for many years as Shipping Master and now that he is retired, he has the opportunity to tell about his experiences . His pride in the port of Rotterdam was contagious. There were 26 listeners.

The importance of the Port of Rotterdam is well known, but how do you operate such a Port?
Harry Frigge can tell a lot about this. He will talk about shipping navigation, the traffic control system, cargo flows, radar, environment, among other things.
