Update merger of KIVI regions Alkmaar, Haarlem and Noord-Holland
Following a survey of their members, the boards of the Alkmaar, Haarlem and Noord-Holland regions decided in May 2022 to propose to KIVI the amalgamation of these divisions with effect from 1 January 2023. The KIVI Main Board and subsequently the Council of Members agreed to this and determined that the name Noord-West would best fit the nomenclature of the KIVI regional divisions. In the meantime, the KIVI Bureau made the necessary membership administration changes so that the 2023 membership invoices could be sent out correctly.
In early November, the board members of the former regions met to further discuss the who, how, what and when of the new regional board. The choice was made for a small daily board - see Board/Contact page - supported when necessary by committees, e.g. for organising technical/social activities, for the Technische Hogeschool Afstudeerprijs and for managing the website. The nature, locations and times of the activities, which were hitherto organised by the regions, will remain largely the same.
