Description

On 20 September, Hanze University of Applied Sciences opened the new BuildinG premises. BuildinG is an initiative of Economic Board Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, TNO and association Bouwend Nederland.

Why BuildinG?
Residents in North Groningen are facing the consequences of earthquake damage. In the coming years, homes and buildings will be repaired and reinforced for the future. The ambition is to make as many homes as possible sustainable and life-cycle-proof at the same time. This will also create jobs in the region. This does require innovation in products and processes. BuildinG has a crucial function in this and is the place for companies and residents to work on the house of the future. In the longer term, BuildinG will contribute to a new cluster of companies and (educational) institutions that will provide high-quality knowledge, activity and employment.
