SCA Suameer is part of the Swedish listed SCA group. SCA has about 45,000 employees and positions itself with its products mainly in hygiene applications for both the consumer and the business-to-business market. SCA's markets are Baby Care, Incontinence Care, Feminen Hygiene, Consumer Tissue (toilet, hankies, facials, Household tools, Beauty Care), Personal hygiene, Wiping Cleaning, Polishing, Napkin & tableware.
With a forest area larger than the province of Utrecht, SCA is one of the world's largest private wood producers. The paper pulp produced from the wood is largely used in its own products. With a strong sustainability drive, more trees are planted than are cut down, making a positive contribution to SCA's CO2 footprint. Energy-saving efforts are also high and SCA is successful in achieving its energy targets.
Typical SCA brands include Plenty, Tork, Libresse, Libero, Tempo, Zewa, Lotus, Couchelle, Velvet, Demak Up, Okay. The Factory in Suameer mainly produces Non Woven products that are marketed worldwide under the Tork and Plenty brand names. SCA Suameer has unique patented production technology that enables it to produce a very high-quality product at relatively low cost.
