ECOstyle, sustainable business is in the genes

The family business ECOstyle from Appelscha has been guaranteeing safe, effective and environmentally friendly products and concepts for soil, plants and animals since 1967. Within the ECOstyle organisation, ECOstyle Animal Care is an independent unit with 100% natural animal feeds, animal care and healing products.

Sustainability also comes to the fore in the expansion of the ECOstyle organisation: well-considered and step-by-step. In 2010, the ECOstyle organisation consists of companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Austria and Russia.

Sustainable entrepreneurship is not a trendy word, but a way of life; for the ECOstyle organisation, this means a continuous improvement process to which everyone in the business process contributes. The ranges, raw materials and products are always subject to strict ECOstyle guidelines, which go beyond the legal standards. Together with the suppliers and sub-suppliers, we work daily on improvements in, for example, energy consumption, CO2 emissions or reducing packaging waste.

ECOstyle also considers it its duty to share and exchange all knowledge and experience regarding sustainable and socially responsible business practices with as many interested parties in all possible sectors. Knowledge transfer is therefore an important pillar in ECOstyle's marketing and communication strategy. Knowledge gives the power to do truly sustainable business!

ECOmunitypark in Oosterwolde

The new business park in Oosterwolde has to prove that sustainable business is also economically responsible. For many years, ECOstyle has wanted to realise a new business park that would be a calling card for sustainable and socially responsible business. Not a standard business park but a unique working landscape; the ECOmunitypark in Oosterwolde.

This new working landscape in Oosterwolde is open to housing companies and knowledge institutions that propagate the philosophy of sustainable and socially responsible business. ECOmunitypark combines ecology, economy and community in an innovative way.

ECOstyle will be one of the first companies to establish itself at the park, but the intention is that many other SMEs and knowledge institutions will feel at home at this special and especially "green" location in Oosterwolde. The buildings on the park will be fitted into the special landscape; 100% sustainable, ecological, modern architecture and many facilities directly on the park. This involves continuous interaction between companies in terms of services and goods, as well as knowledge and expertise in specific fields. In short: creating optimum synergy and added value for all companies, in an innovative and extremely pleasant working environment.
