Description

Since January 2008, homeowners should have an energy label for their property, however, it does not seem that they voluntarily comply with it. A so-called Energy Performance Advice (EPA) has already been devised in the past and an Energy Performance Coefficient (EPC) for newly built houses, which is regularly tightened. How do these three methodologies compare and what makes them useful or perhaps useless?

Bram Entrop, associate professor in the Department of Construction/Infra at the University of Twente, will talk about three existing methods, which have been applied to some houses. In doing so, he will indicate what the added value of such analyses might be.

What would be the energy-saving potential of your home?
