In the middle of last year, KIVI's executive committee appointed Bart Struwe as interim director. In addition to tasks to support progress, he was tasked with outlining a perspective for the course KIVI should take into the future in terms of what it should offer its members and its role in society.

For this assignment, Bart carried out a broad survey within the association with several rounds of information among both older and younger members and non-members. In our East Netherlands region, he visited several times to soundboard with interested members on the basis of his growing perception of the possibilities.

He has since worked out a plan for our future that is supported by the Central Board and Council of Members. He has also started its implementation together with colleagues from the bureau and a number of departments. He would like to tour the country to explain the new course and to answer any questions that may arise.

On Monday 7 September, Bart will be in Region East (Hengelo). The meeting starts at 17:30, with walk-in and a sandwich from 17:00.

The room is set up entirely according to corona guidelines. The number of participants in the meeting capped. Pre-registration via the KIVI website is required.

Kind regards and see you then!

Paul de Jong, chairman KIVI Region East.
