Natura Docet family day
Description
The oldest regional natural history museum in the Netherlands is celebrating its anniversary this year. This is because Natura Docet in Denekamp is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
High time for members of KIVI NIRIA Region East to introduce their families to this atmospheric museum, where time has stood still.
Village teacher Bernink started in the centre of Denekamp in 1911 with an exhibition that now includes minerals, fossils and stuffed animals, in short, teaching nature!
This morning we will be welcomed with coffee, tea or soft drinks and some goodies. This will be followed by a tour of the museum just outside the village, which has been in operation since 1922. For the children, if the weather is good, there will be the opportunity to go on biological research in the gardens.
It is of course also possible to explore the collection and gardens on your own after the programme
