Since 1967, Forbo Novilon B.V. in Krommenie has been producing and developing springy vinyl floor covering for both domestic and commercial use.
Due to an increased demand for this resilient floor covering, it was decided in 1977 to do the same in the province of Drenthe. To this end, an installation was set up with which 4-metre-wide vinyl could be produced. At the end of 1979, the plant obtained a US patent, after which the vinyl flooring could also be produced in relief.

Since 1997, it has been working on a new generation of domestic and project vinyl flooring with innovative properties and designs. To this end, a new production line was commissioned in Coevorden in 1999. Over the years, product development and innovation have been the basis for Forbo's always unique and high-quality range. Market developments and trends play an important role when designing designs and determining colours. In addition, the design team is inspired by na-tural materials and textures, visual art and nature. The development centre works continuously on product improvement and innovation and on optimising production techniques.

The Novilon, Novilux and Eternal products are sold worldwide.
