Green Team Twente
Description
The Shell Eco-marathon (SEM) is an annual competition that takes place in the United States, Asia and Europe. Green Team Twente is of course participating in the European version. This marathon was created to challenge student teams to design, build and test an ultra energy-efficient car. It also motivates to think/debate about the future of mobility and tries to inspire young designers to think "out of the box" about fuel efficiency.
The Green Team Twente, consisting of students from the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering programmes, will have to come up with a highly efficient car design to take the honours. The race will take place from 15 to 19 May around Ahoy in Rotterdam.
On 27 May, KIVI members will have the opportunity to see the perpetuum mobile up close and attend the presentation in which design principles and results will be revealed
