Ad A:
Green sustainable airports (GSA)is an international cooperation project, focusing on accelerating the process of "greening" airport operations. In the GSA project, regional airports, local and regional authorities, small and medium-sized enterprises and knowledge institutes work together to stimulate innovations of the topic: "sustainability at airports". This is a European project with co-financing through the "Interreg 4B Programme" (6 countries in the North Sea region: NL, B, D, GB, N, DK.)
The expected results will contribute to a better, faster, cheaper and more sustainable way of operating airports. Themes include sustainable solutions for airports, de-icing, continuous reduction tasks, collective
modes of transport to and from airports, reusable energy.Large-scale innovations include platform heating by innovative asphalt, LED technology for runway lighting, sustainable pre- and post-haul transport, ecological management of the airport environment, sensor application for emission measurements, "green for Air" (reduction of CO2, NOx, and particulate emissions), application of biogas and solar energy.
