On Tuesday 14 November, KIVI Region East is organising a visit to the H2 Hub in Almelo.
Hydrogen may well play an important role in energy transition. To this end, an organisation has been set up in Twente to provide facilities to entrepreneurs and knowledge institutions.
"Through research and projects, we build knowledge and experience together. With concrete projects, meetings and knowledge exchange, entrepreneurs and knowledge institutions contribute to the energy transition and a powerful Twente economy."
(Pilot) projects in the fields of generation and storage, mobility, high-temperature combustion and industrial processes are set up to share existing & new knowledge and expertise with local and regional market players (entrepreneurs, government and knowledge institutions). The outcomes of these projects are then processed into (new) applications.
H2 Hub Twente has the following facilities:
- Availability of green hydrogen locally generated using 1 MW of solar power
- Lab and test facilities
- Workspaces for ongoing projects, coordinated with participants and knowledge institutions.
- Work and meeting space
- H2 Fuel refuelling (own refuelling point)
