Invitation from Bart Struwe

As some of you may have heard, I started an interim assignment within KIVI at the beginning of this month. My assignment is on the one hand to relieve Micaela dos Ramos by taking over a number of tasks from her, and on the other hand to make a scan of the activities, costs, structure and cooperation within KIVI. I was asked to then present recommendations for possible changes to the main board.

In the meantime, I have met with a number of people from the bureau, the main board, the members' committee, the members' council and the finance committee. I also attended the members' council meeting last week. I would like to meet (representatives of) the departments on a broader basis. I am curious to hear your views on topics such as:

  • What is KIVI's right to exist? What should KIVI's services and activities be?
  • What has and has not gone well within KIVI in recent years?
  • What ideas are there about the set-up of the organisation (KIVI wide) and about the way in which cooperation takes place?
  • What are the most promising activities that KIVI can carry out in the coming years?

Not only members of the membership council are welcome, but also other members of your board and/or some members of your department. I sincerely hope there is interest in exchanging views on the above topics. I am open to any idea, any opinion. Unfortunately, I do not have much time available and am therefore not in a position to give you an announcement well in advance.

My plan is to go out into the country for four evenings and to do so in the first half of July.
