The Nature Museum Fryslân presents the exhibition for the whole family.
ANIMAL INSIDE OUT is a production of Gunther von Hagen's BODY WORLDS
Dr Gunther von Hagen's BODY WORLDS exhibition on human anatomy has been shown all over the world and has now attracted millions of visitors. Equally successful is his next project: an exhibition starring animals. This autumn, this exhibition can be seen in the Netherlands for the first time, a first for the Natuurmuseum Fryslân!
ANIMAL INSIDE OUT 'discovers' the complex biology, zoology and physiology of dozens of different animals, large and small, ordinary and extraordinary.
ANIMAL INSIDE OUT takes you as a visitor on an anatomical safari along the most extraordinary animal species. Each animal is meticulously preserved through the unique process of plastination invented by Dr Von Hagens.
From goat to giraffe, from elephant to eel and from octopus to ostrich, visitors discover form and function of familiar and exotic animals. Anatomical textbooks come to life during this unforgettable museum experience.
In addition to this exhibition, there is an opportunity to watch a short film about the plastination process.
Other parts of the Nature Museum can also be viewed. Including the laboratory where "traditional" preparation takes place.
Visits are possible at your own time in the period between 16 November and 31 December 2015. You will receive a voucher (max 2 per member) after registering with the North Region. If you go to the museum pay 15 euros p.p. at the box office at the museum. After the visit, send the pre-received voucher(s), together with the receipt(s) to noord@kivi.nl. Don't forget to mention your bank account number. You will then receive 5 euro p.p. from KIVI Noord in return.
