Theme afternoon Algae cultivation Ingrepro Borculo
Description
In the search for answers to climate change and clean energy options, algae are attractive for many reasons: they grow like cabbage, thrive in both fresh and salt water and eat everything from organic waste to CO2. But algae also have snags and raise questions. We therefore offer our members the opportunity to have these answered by scientist and breeder, ir. Carel Callenbach of Ingrepro.
He will give a presentation on the developments and applications of algae and the products made from them, after which a visit to Ingrepro's location in Borculo is on the programme. Ingrepro has been in the 'algae market' for several years. Among other things, the algae are used to produce biodiesel but also for the Food and Feed market
