Cradle to Cradle theme café
Description
Cradle to Cradle is the idea of William McDonough and Michael Braungart that gives a completely different vision of sustainable design. On 2 October 2006, AVRO broadcast a documentary (see link) about Cradle to Cradle that opened the eyes of many Dutch people. The inventors of Cradle to Cradle call it: "The next industrial revolution".
This theme café is organised in cooperation with the Watt and Sterck study associations of Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede. An interesting topic and with these speakers a good debate is sure to follow!
Speaker(s)
Dick Thesingh one of the two guest speakers is an advocate of Cradle to Cradle and since 2 October 2006 has been realising the Cradle to Cradle vision. Gijsbert Korevaar is the other guest speaker, he graduated and obtained a PhD as a chemical technologist and is engaged in designing chemical plants and industrial clusters.
