Description

On Tuesday 11 March, we will be the guest of Triogen in Goor. Mr Jos van Buijtenen is one of the founders of Triogen and emeritus professor of gas turbine technology at TU Delft.
At Triogen, they have developed an ORC. ORC stands for Organic Rankine Cycle, and with it it is possible to generate electricity from waste heat. Triogen's standardised ORCs can use heat from flares, industrial processes, ovens, combustion engines, anaerobic digesters, etc. for this purpose.

The application of ORC leads to efficiency improvements of existing processes and reductions in fuel costs and CO2 emissions. Triogen has now sold and installed 30 plants in several European countries

Mr Van Buijtenen will explain to us how ORC works, and what is involved in its development. He can also tell us interesting things about the establishment of his company Triogen.

The lecture will be followed by a short tour of the company, where the ORCs are assembled.
