The board of the Environmental Technology/Food and Green Section is pleased to invite you to a visit to Twence with theme: Energy from renewable sources. Valorisation of residues in Twente.

residues as energy carrier
A waste incineration plant is nowadays referred to as AEC (waste-to-energy plant). During this study afternoon, the production of sustainable energy will be illustrated on the basis of years of experience and the realisation of the Twence-AkzoNobel steam pipeline. A short excursion is part of the programme.

Energy management
The use of low-calorific heat from the power plant is a very important success factor .Essent will explain. The energy management of the TU Twente, location Enschede, will be explained on the basis of the Trias Energetica.
Expectations for the use of residues
The prospects for the use of biomass and waste as energy carriers will be briefly explained for Twence. The presentation will be followed by a brief concluding discussion.
