Visit Meldkamer Noord Nederland
Description
This company visit has been rescheduled from 13 October to 8 December.
The Azeven building houses the police training and
service centre for North Netherlands, the forensic investigation department and
the occupational health service. The building is also home to
Traffic Accident Analysis for the Fryslan region.
The most striking part of the building is the North Netherlands Control Room
for police, fire and ambulance services. This is where all 112 calls from
the provinces of Fryslan, Groningen and Drenthe with a total of 1.7 million
inhabitants come together. Some ten thousand emergency workers are directed from here
. On top of the Control Room North Netherlands is the Regional
Coordination Centre Fryslan. The control room and surrounding areas are
technically equipped to cope with very large incidents/disasters
situations.
Mr H.J. de Wolf will explain the ins and outs of the new control room. This will include the processes and their implementation in the IT systems. In addition, Mr Bosma as project manager of the construction will tell his story about how the building is put together, what facilities are available and who uses them. In conclusion, we will be able to look into the kitchen of the control room and rest of the building.
