Visit to the Noordmolen in Delden
The Noordmolen is a water mill on the Twickel estate (Ambt Delden) that produces linseed oil from flax seed. In 1347, Herman van Twicklo bought the Noordmolen, located on the Azelose stream. In 1984, the mill received a new water wheel, and 1989 saw the completion of its restoration. Since 1990, volunteer millers have kept the Noordmolen in operation.
During this visit, the water mill will be in operation and there will be a linseed oil milling demonstration. The millers will explain the production process and tell something about the history of the Noordmolen.
