EXCURSION Water Treatment with PRESENTATION Future Vision Water Board

The tasks of the water board and the emphases of the current board will be outlined. It will then move on to developments in the urban water cycle. Future scenarios, as well as the relationships with regional economic development and the top sector policy will be discussed. Attention will also be paid to scaling-up issues and intensifying cooperation between water boards and municipalities where the waste water chain is concerned.

After this, Rik Meijer will discuss the outlined development direction from a municipal perspective.

After a short coffee break, Jeroen Buitenweg will give a brief explanation of the characteristics of the Ootmarsum WWTP, based on his involvement with the plant. A video presentation will be used for this purpose. This explanation will help participants to have points of recognition during the excursion over the plant.
