Building with ice
Description
After the chairman's look back and forward, we are shown what you can do with (reinforced) ice. From dome to tower. Structures with spans and heights of up to 30 metres. Built with Cellcrete, an ice-composite made of water and cellulose fibres.
For six years, a team of students from the Technical University has been researching this fibre-reinforced ice. Adding fibres not only makes the ice composite more tensile, but also tougher. We take you through the developments of this research area. Experiments, findings and, of course, all that the future holds. Perhaps beyond our planet.
Come with your partner for a lively evening. There will be plenty of room to get acquainted or catch up with each other over a snack and a drink. New members, the board, veterans and partners alike always experience this festive gathering as worth repeating.
